electric window wiring

Post by gti_black »

random question, but does anyone have a wiring diagram for the wiring that goes from the car to the door in a mk5 polo??

basically ive got problems with the electric passenger side window working. i know 100% the motors fine as it works at the moment, however i have a strong feeling the wiring that connects to the tube running into the door is damaged....

initially i couldnt control the passenger side window from my controls (driver side)..... so i took of the door card and pull the dash apart, and had a look at the loom to see if any wires were damaged. they seemed fine however im certain thats where the fault lies. im guessing i may have damaged one of the wires when installing my comps.

basically i need to know what all the different coloured wires are.. especially the wire which runs from the loom and controls the window. anybody got a diagram or legend of some sort to identify what wires do what??

Have you thought about the switches? I had all sorts of probs with my windows which were soon sorted when I put new switches in

pretty sure its not the switches.

im fairly sure it the wiring thats damaged. its basically right at the end where the wires all go into the round plug. ats fine at the mo but if i move it slightly then the window doesnt work. defo wires damaged.
