FK Coilies

Post by Omz_6N2 »

Ello everyone

I have the FK Highsport coilovers on my 6N2. Couple of problems with it if anyone can help

1. The front suspension seems to be clonking/pinging when i turn at slow speeds (Do you think this could be due to the top mounts being to tight ? if that makes sence)

2. The back suspension seems to be stuck (Seized i think) i tried to raise the ride height, adjusting the front was a piece of pi**, both rings easily released, however on the rear the two coil/rings seem to be jammed together, ive put some copper grease and a whole load of WD40 on them but they still seemed to be stuck.

Can anyone help with the above ?

spoken to him today and it was actually anti roll bar bush that cracked, which looks like this ..

its what the anti roll bar is mounted on and if it's cracking it's a very common fault

no it wont stop the anti roll bar does exactly what it says on the tin, stops your car rolling :P but your clonking noise must of been alot louder then that coz most clonking from fk highsports is at the front when turning at slow speeds!

Location ? Sry to ask such a noobie question but I dont have a clue lol. My car has terrible body roll for 60mm lowering springs. Is there anyway of makin it stiffer? The kit in question is philj's.

iam not to hooked up on the philj kits but normally they are stiff  but on coilovers you can normally get dammper adjustable ones but on the highsports there is not, all i can say mate is buy coilovers then you are cruising round like a go kart! 8)

i can definitely say that it fixed the clonking noise for my mate, don't know if it will help you people. It wasnt the anti roll bar but the bush that it sits on
