AUDI TT Competition Alloys

Post by vDUB »

Hi Guy's,
I have some AUDI TT Competition Alloys and just wanted to know how much they are worth approximately? They have just come off a 2000 AUDI TT TT QUATTRO and are in fairly good condition.

If the sizes of the tyres are 225/40/17 will they rub on a polo 9N that’s not lowered?

Thanks,
Fuj

they will go on a 9n fine and even lower 40mm fine without rubbing

i'd say they're worth between 150 and 250 with tyres depending on the tred and make of tyre and also the condition of the rims

200 was the going rate for unrefurbed wheels a while ago.

I'd said for fully refurbed ones from what I've seen you're looking at at least 250-350.

feel free to prove me otherwise, but I've never seen a set of TT alloys in mint condition with tyres for less than £300. those are worth a lot more than £250 if you ask me..... but obviously depends on condition.

those tyres are worth less to a 9N owner though, they're too wide and will rub the outer arch.

I paid £450 for mine, just refurbed with almost new 205x40 rubber on them (BF Goodrich).

just had a look on ebay and completed items shows brand new sets go for over 300 (without tyres) but some went for 200 with tyres that had kerbing.

Hi New Member :D
I must say there are some sweet Polo's on this Forum, anyways.
I have recently purchased the same wheels for my Girlfriends polo, but they have 225/45/17 michelin pilot sports tyres on, will these rub on a standard height Polo tdi sport (100 HP)?
Cheers Steve

p.s will post some pic's when i have finished :D
