Window Switches....

Post by Tailor »

Just come across a small problem with my window switch.. the passenger window closes but doesnt open from the drivers side.

I know its not the window motor because i changed it with the drivers side window switch and works fine.

Does anybody know where i can get one switch for the drivers side?... or will i need to buy the hole unit?
Also if anyone has bought theses from the dealers how mcuh were they.

Thanks

Its real easy to take the switch housing out, even easy to take the actual passengers switch out its is just cliped in.
to take it out you have to get something flat and get it under the housing (top side) and pull up.

Just wondering if i can but jus the switch from VW retail (Dealers)

just a heads up that the passanger switch on the passanger side of the car is a differnt switch to the two swiches on the drivers side!!

not that i can get the switch to budge anyhow!

you can buy the drivers side switches seperately...and gsf don't sell them.

They cost about £12-13 inc vat each for the drivers side from vw and yes they are a different connection to the passenger side switch.
