I think the exhaust sticks out like a sore thumb though, just my opinion but it would look much better with discreet pipe(s).

It could really do with a black rear view mirror as well, but it is about the only detail that was overlooked.
The plan was for a discrete setup

But we have yet to find a "good" place that will do us a good custom job.

I don't see what the fuss is about the black mirror, but that might just be me!!!

Car looks immaculate mate. Very very good job, definately the best example I've seen.

Was smoothing the side bump strips expensive?

@ GTILass: - I know what you mean about the exhaust. I apporached Milltek at inters about this and they said if I get 10 people to do a group buy then they would manufacture a middle and backbox for the GTI.

Just need to find out a rough price from them first.

About the carbon fibre. My bro is the official UK dealer for a company called Robson. So any questions or orders regarding the carbon fibre you can either direct to myself or to him. (GTI V)

The carbon fibre parts were quite easy to fit, we had no problems with them.

We will be definitely looking into the exhaust side of things.

Carbon fibre is available as per Silky's car. Its not cheap, be warned!!!

They fit in the same way as stock. They are done using the original parts. So no modification is needed.

I'd love a Milltek system on my GTi. Last time I spoke to anyone was at Autosport International 2006 when I had a chat with Phil Middleton of Milltek, and got the same response as Silky.

C'mon guys!

Mine was gonna be the first absolute show stunner

By far the best gti i've ever seen. Everything i intended do, only my budget wouldnt stretch to have a lot of it done. The handles look amazing (all 3 of them) and the quality of the work looks incredible. You've even got the same grill badge as me

Spot on mate, it truely is!

I think you guys should get some more accurate prices, and put a feeler up for a Miltek GB.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Anyone who is seriously interested in getting a Milltek exhaust PM me.

I'm going to get a rough price tomorrow and start a group buy. PM me after i've got the price. Only PM me if you seriously interested though as I don't want to waste my time.
