Post by johnnypolotdi »

hi, hope someone can help me, im thinking of buying some new alloys for my pd 100, i think am going to get some 17's just wondered if they would fit, without rubbing, they are 205,45,17, also what would be the affect on the speedo with bigger wheels on.

You would need 5 stud mate not 4 so 5 x 100. Everything else ie. tyre size is fine and hardly affects speedo.

they will fit fine, with 205,40,17 tyres mate :) what engine have u got? i have a 1.2 and they have slowed the cars top speed by around 20mph, but i have realy heavy tt wheels, obviously most wheels are alot lighter so wont make much difference :)

get better tyres! I've got the 1.9 with BF Goodrich tyres, I find it very hard to spin the wheels, almost impossible to do in 2nd unless I'm cornering hard at the same time.
