Also - is that were everyone puts there plate when the bummper is smooth at the front ? Just 50/50 on the way it looks!
Not everyone, check out Alun's car, he has it in the original place

And Max,

If you drop the plate down there you lose the OEM look, but smoothing bumpers generally loses OEMness anyway, which is why I think it's better to put it down the bottom! that's what I plan to do 8)

Yes the plate looks awful located on the lower grill, very max power and "I want to be noticed". But voicing my opinion on here is always berated.

Has anyone thought of putting the plate at the very bottom just on the valance and lower bumper?

That might look better and should not obstruct the grills.

Really good pictures there matey! Hope you had a good birthday too!

I do slightly agree with Marc though, also I can't help but notice the gap between your bonnet and your grille/headlights....even more so when you compare it to Aluns car on that picture! Hope I havn't made you notice it loads now i've pointed it out

Fantastic pics Mouse.

Have to agree with some of the others about the plate though!!! Looks much better in original place IMO.

And whats with the gap above the headlights??? Looks like either bonnet aint sitting right, or light unit is sat to low!! :?

Agreed. If I ever decided to smooth my bumpers, the numberplate would go back to its original position on the bumper.

Don't remind me lol  It is pretty bad. My accident last year has f****d up the shut line too on my bonnet. Not even the bodyshop could fix it properly. Gonna order me my new plates soon and stick 'em on the bumper :D

I prefer mine on the lower grille, maybe having a smaller plate helps (thanks to it being my own reg)

Makes cleaning the bumper a lot nicer, an unbelievable amount of crap gets behind the plate that you can't get without taking it off.

I agree with Tom. Although the best option would be to not have a front plate!!

Yeh I did notice the gap on the bonnet also, but know how much it bothers you so didnt say anything :P
