running space saver wheels help

has anyone ever tried running space saver wheels all round or would it cause any problems

Simply, yes. Space savers are designed as a temporary device generally, not as a permanent fixture for the car. They are meant to get you a few miles to a garage, or at most a couple of weeks till you get it fixed.

Not sure of the effects of running them but I'd guess handling in the wet would be rubbish and handling generally, also traction might be a bit off.

I can't see why it can't be done however I strongly advise you not to as they are designed as a temporary measure and not to be ran for longer than a certain distance. They also have half of the grip of a normal tyre due to its size and cannot be driven over a certain speed.

Also I would love to see a set of banded spacesavers, that would look pimp :lol:

In one word, WHY! :shock:

They are NOT designed to be used for more than a few miles & definately not over 40-50mph.

Performance vw white passat estate has them IIMC.

I remember watching vroom vroom on sky 1 once and they put 4 space savers on an old civic and it was terrible, their just aint any grip at all, if I remember I am sure one of the wheels blew out after about 20 mins or so

coming to think of it not the best idea but i was just thinking because i saw the branded space savers on performance vw's passat and just was curious to think what it would look like on my polo thanks anyway
