im guessing you swapped for a cone filter. If you did that then theoretically you need to filter the air going into those three pipes (as thats what your standard airbox was doing already, as you could probably guess. This means you need to add filters to those pipes for them to work correctly. Aka diddy little oil breather filters.

If im wrong someone please correct me. If not ym ego shall balloon, coz i is so cleva. init.

this is the kit for the gti, which includes the small filters... send an email to k&n and see if they fit your engine.

lol for the MK5 1.0E, there are two/three pipes depending on the engine you have. The one far left needs a filter. The one at the front needs a one way valve only letting things in or you will lose a good amount of oil very quickly, and the other one....well...that must be on a recirc valve or something so it might need a filter

Can you take a photo mate

the top one is a breather so can add a small filter to that at the rockercover loose the pipe, second is for the air pump to the exhaust same with that, third one looks like another breather add a filter to that like these
http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trks ... her+filter
best if you loose the pipes and connect the filter direct to where they from it will be tidy!!

First needs a one way valve as said above - break this out the airbox.

Second needs a one way valve - out the airbox

3rd needs a breather filter

If you dont do it that way, you will lose oil bud
