Hi guys, so i bought some new kit for a sound system for my mk7, as follows:
2X JBL GTO 1214 12" subs, with single voice coil, 350W RMS and 1400 peak.
2000W Boss Amp, 2 channel MOSFET Bridgeable - 300W RMS X2 into 4 ohms,1000W X2 max power into 2 ohms
Hertz 2 way Components
Im going to run the components off the headunit, so thats all fine and theres no probs with that.
BUT, i went to a guy at a local in car audio garage and he said that the amp would not be suitable for the two subs, and said it wouldnt provide them with reasonable power. So im just real confused as he said the fact they were single coil had a bearing and a didnt realise it would. If any one could help me and let me know if the system should run fine and sound good id really appreciate it. If its too complicated no worries.
Thanks alot

Re: Im confused! Sub/Amp help please
you can run that amp in 2 channel mode
yes 300 rms is slightly underpowering them but as long as the amp is set up correctly using a scope to ensure that when playing it loud the signal is always clean it will be fine
