but anyway....
which tyres would look best on these sitting at what height? it's totally standard at the min. its a tdi se.
Thanks,
Lisa

I take it they are 15x7 ?
A standard tyre fit would be 195x45 or for a stretch, which would let you go lower would be 165x50. A drop of 70mm+ all round would look nice but may not be practicle

Yep, for 7s I'd go 165/50, 195/50s on cups would look awful.
If they are in really good condition, offer £200, and they're literally the wrong sized tyre.

Thanks for your replies.
I offered the guy 300 and he could keep his tyres. His reply as follows:
"Look dear your a time waster i have a set of rims for sale at £500 not £300 you must think im a d.head get the message anyone with a good offer buys the rims you want to spend £300 go to halfords"
to which i replied telling him he would not get £500 for them as you can buy for less brand new and he asked me to make an offer so i did. he replied saying:
"i wont tell you again not for sale are you f.ing stupid dont text me again"
is that not a tad OTT?!
so back to looking again.....

That guy's an idiot, they cost £480 brand new, and you could probably get a package deal with some correctly sized tyres for under £550.
He's the time waster mate, just leave it.

exactly! the site i was looking at you could get the cups and tyres for £489 and an upgrade to toyo proxes for an extra £30!!
total timewaster. THEN his wife phoned me telling me to stop texting!!
i was texting about the wheels and didn't contact him after the message as below! WTF?!
things like that do my head in - what's the point?!
anyway... lenso bsx,
how low?!?!
I assume the same seen as they're the same size. where i live has speed bumps all over the show and i quite often have kids in the back and a boot full of stuff. so what's the max for the car still to look half decent?
Thanks!

A 60mm drop would look good and still be quite practical.

The supersport ones on venom or the ones from clubpolo (jackson tuning) are cheap enough or you could go with coiloverspoLoTDI1.4 wrote:thanks for that but the link only takes me to the main page. are there any in particular on the site that are good - some are very expensive! £800!!

what size are your tyres? does it scrub if you have people or excess weight in the car?

Re: ats cups - which tyres and how much to lower?
Not my car, and the preious owner sold on sorry! they would've been 195/45s though.
Are the lensos 7j wide yeh?
195/45s on them down around 60mm should be fine, a little more would looke nicer though (70-80mm). you really have to bring the 6N2 down to earth, the arch gap is massive. 165/50s on 7s wouldn't scrub at all, even down to around 90-100mm I reckon.
