Full exhaust system for PD100 TDI

Post by Motoract »

Hi.

I'm looking to have a full live map put on my PD100 in jan - feb some time.

I'm looking to squeeze that little extra power, already have the PD160 intake kit on the car...

then I've been told the next point of all is the exhaust...

Anyone any recommendations?

I was thinking fully custom from turbo back, cough* De-cat *cough. (from reading the car will still pass it's MOT?)

anyone any thoughts or advice on this?

also do I go for 3.5" rear twin pipes, or 3.0"?

Cheers.

diesels dont need cat's so it'll pass MOT as mine dunt have a cat :P becareful when remap if your clutch is weak a remap will just destroy it, i had to have my remap removed and buy a new clutch £600 :( bad times, but looking at a new way of getting over 150bhp with afew mods but need to save the cash first, ive got a custom exhaust its not straight through but its de-cat to centre box then just straight to a rolled twin pipe :)

How much did the exhaust cost you?

I'm not worried about the clutch, if it goes, it goes, I want the power so if I need the new clutch; so be it!
