GTI Mudflaps

Post by Bradley »

Ive been looking through some pictures recently and have noticed quite a few GTI's with mudflaps on them.I think im quite liking the look of them now and want some for my GTI,does anybody know prices for the front ones from VW off the top of their head?.Ive seen Genuine rears on ebay for £9.99.

Any help would be apprechiated,i'd call them but they wont be open for a while now i imagine.

The answer is yes they do :) I had some 15s on mine last year, both RX2s and colour concepts and the clear no problems

Ah you should see the state of mine! I'm going for dirtiest car on the road :)

The bare lips on my Cups were too far gone to care for by hand, so I've just gone all out and not bothered to do any sort of car cleaning for the last 2 months

Alex I cant seem to send PM's on here for some reason so hopefully you'll read this

Hey dude, just wanted to ask a few questions about your brake set up.What car did you get your carriers from, ive read that either 4or5 stud will work?.Other thing is if using the origional GTI calipers did you use the same gti pads or opt for g60 pads?.Im just trying to consider the difference in sizes of discs etc.Ideally i'd like to stick with 25mm discs and not change to 22mm.If you could point me in the direction of the set up you're running and what you think of it that would be great.

Hi Brad - how odd!

Right well i beleive they are off a 4 stud (i didnt remove them from the donor, so cant confirm) but as far as I know its a 4 stud carrier. Im using the original calipers and GTI pads as they are the same size, though when I replace the discs and pads, I may go for a full G60 setup. Disc wise im running proper G60 discs which are 25mm :)

It makes a little difference, but the main difference is the cosmetic side of things :)

cheers
