Boot Lid - Help!

My rear washer is leaking (yet again!!) It's already been into a Stealership which left me with a £100 repair bill because it also affected the lock which made the alarm go off . I've told them the same problem is back again and I won't have to pay IF it's related to the last issue they fixed. My guess is a pipes just come off now...

Does anyone know how to take off the large plastic cover on the boot lid so I can get into where the wiper pipes are housed? It seems quite a tight fit but don't fancy just pulling it off and breaking it! Any ideas?

It has 2 screws near the grab handles inside. Once them are off its held on by clips which are inside, which can be a pain when you come to fit the cover back on.

One thing to bear in mind, this failure and maybe also the previous time this failed might just be down to you not using a high enough concentration of washer additive and allowing the fluid to freeze at the current low temperatures. After you have sorted this again try to make sure that you take this advice to avoid problems in the future. Oh, and in my eyes, taking off the hatch back rear trim panel is a nasty job to do when the temperature is low as the clips really do grip! There are three different types of clips, lower, middle and upper - just in case you need to order some in from VW. Also, I was very careful and still managed to break the cover near the hatch catch (when I went in to replace a nasty corroded hatch handle). I've been back in since then to refurbish the wiper/washer shaft after it failed (another normal Polo 9N failure) - but I managed to break some of the retaining clip mounting points. Now one of the parcel shelf strap "pegs" has snapped off - wife said "wind caught it"!
