Headlining Re-Trim
First off, mine it the sunroof model, so it varies a little bit but not much.
tools needed:
Flat head screw driver
Posi drive screw driver
Heat resistant Spray Adhesive
Fabric
Fabric scissors (ordinary scissors and can be used but takes longer)
a hell of a lot of patience
Step 1:
Removes all the bits screwed through the liner. Handles, sunvisor and with mine i had to pop out the plastic surrounding for the sunroof control by simply inserting a flathead screwdriver into the front then pulling the unit down
on this picture you can see the location of the clips but the whole covers comes down if you just pull it from the front:
remove the the plug for the light
next bit is to remove the seals on the doors and boot. these simply pull off:
with the seals removed you can see into behind the pillar covers and see where the clips are holding them on. either yank em' off or get a flathead in there.
poverty spec polo:
next is the time consuming part. this is simply covering the existing with the new fabric. i did mine in sections and just pulled the fabric tight as i sprayed it on and got rid of the majority of the creases. mines not 100% perfect and there are a few bits that could be better but for my first time its bloody good
to put it back in just reverse the process to fetch it out!
will upload pictures of it finished tomorrow. im tempted to leave the sunvisors/grab handles/pillars grey as i cant decide how to overcome to grey sunroof cover and the contrast between grey and black at the moment works quite well!
for my fabric i used a dinner table sheet 160mmx260mm so was perfect size and cheap enough £9.99 and heavy duty spray adhesive from hobbycraft £8.99

Re: Headlining Re-Trim
got bored with the black, so is now looking like so
and because it has white in the camo, the handles, pillars and sunroof cover all blend in nicely

Re: Headlining Re-Trim
Well after following your guide. And succesfully removed and replaced headliner. Now my sunroof only closes halfway then opens itself again.....i have to cut ignition halfway then redo it to shut it.....any ideas!? Haha
