Steamy lights

Post by rs2315 »

Rear light clusters were full of condensation, seal obviously broken.
Went back to dealers and sat in comfy chair and waited for some new ones to be fitted.
one and half hours later off I went with new clusters, glad I wasn't paying the bill.
Guy who was doing the work said between you and me there's been a few cars in with same problem, a bad batch he told me.
Well 4 weeks later and looks like I have another bad batch, both rears steamy again.

Anybody else suffering with this problem?

VW, if you can here this, put me one less cup holder in and concentrate on sealing my lights correctly :x

Oh dear, back to the dealers again then :( No not seen any sign of steamy rear lights on the polo. I did get condensation once or twice in the rears of my ED30 but this was on a hot day when I had just washed it but they dried out in a few mins. I will keep an eye out if I do get a problem I will respond on this thread.

Yep that thought had crossed my mind.
Why don't these places provide a viewing gallery, I'm sure they have nothing to hide
What am I talking about, I don't trust any of them.

Before I handed the money over for initial purchase, they were round me like bees to honey.
They get your money, and all comunication dry's up from their side.
That say's it all to me.
Slippery than eels.

Same at mine you can watch them working away whilst sat in the waiting room/section.
If you can tear yourself away from the massive tv showing top gear and fifth gear re-runs ;)

Leeds. Elland Road.
No windows, just day time tv and sticky buns. Got to be the healthiest dealership in town
