Light behind heater controls , broken :-(

Post by jhothersall »

Hello,

Went over a rather large pot hole, and since then the red coloured lights wont come on, I know how to get the heat unit out, but how do I replace the bulb ?

Thanks

James

small fingers or tweezers, i have quite large hands and had to use tweezers took me about 5 mnins to actuallu change it lol

set the dial to the top then gently pull out the middle dial and the bulb is located in the middle

Set the dial to 0 and then pull to reveal the bulb. To remove the bulb you'll probably need some tweezers (which don't grip very well) so I'd recommend needle-nose pliers

A small piece of thin hose actually works well as it sort of locks onto the bulb and you can easily pull it out.

God that's just reminded me of my E!!
The lights behind the heater bit was really intermitant, was really annoying had such a mind of it's own
Would go ages not on the suddenly start working and vice versa. I guess it was loose wiring or bulb, I just couldn't ever be bothered to fiddle, even tho I knew it really bugged me.
