Re: Joe's 3rd Gti Progress Thread- Knocking Noise Vid Inside
Now you mention it thats what it is - a knackered shock. Ive got one on the drivers side rear of my old one - squeaks and is bloody irritating! Ive tried everything to quieten it but I think its had it.

Looks like it could be off to Spax for refurb then..
Strange as Chris had no probs with them for a few years, must have been the one year storage that killed them somehow.
Still very strange as the perform well, althoguh the damping adjusters are mean to click as you adjust and mine kinda just tuurrrnnn

Re: Joe's 3rd Gti Progress Thread- Back on it
Well I'm back.. as of saturday. What an amazing trip! 5 weeks of chilling, drinking, trekking, exploring and even abit of motorbike riding round the islands:)
Gti started first time aswell! seems to be driving okay and behaving itself- few new noises as such coming from somewhere but i'm just glad to be using it again!
Lots of updates planned for the coming weeks, mainly :
Full detail and polish and bumper respray
ICE install 'tunes :'
Spacers on the rear
....and maybe on the front
Tracking
Engine detail- may go for a different colour this time...
Skark fin
enough to keep me busy ! Hope everyone is well and had a productive few weeks with their motors

Im trying on my mates 17mm ones today- i'll see how they are for size- not sure if 15mm will be too big for the front?>
Re: Joe's 3rd Gti Progress Thread- Back on it
I would of thought 15mm would be to big for the fronts, i had 5's with my old wheels.

Ok dude let me know. I paid £50 for them earlier in the year. Only had them on for about 1,000 miles.
Trouble is there heavy so postage would be expensive.
