Best size of tyre to run on a 6n2

Alright guys looking into getting some wheels and I'm thinking 195/45/16 would that be alright with a 2001 VW Polo?

What's everyone else running on?

Hi James I am running on 15's with 195/45/15 tyres with the coilovers turned down roughly 70mm from standard. Sits really nice. Handles extremely well also.

But every1 has there own personal tastes. I did see a 6n2 with 16" RX2's 205/40/16 lowered by 60mm that looked nice as well.

Hope this can guide u in some way.

Best Practical tyres for 16" wheels on a 6N2 is 195/40/R16 but it does depend on the (ET) of the wheels

Anything up to 7J will be fine on 195/40/R16's but 7.5J wheels should probably be using 205/40/16's or 205/45/16's as mentioned below by Jamie

I ran Borbet A's with 195, 45 r16s and they where fine but scrubbed on full lock:/
