My polo 6r 1.4i. Yellow [Xenon Lenses fitted]

Post by Lieto »

Greetings guys

Thats my first post on the forum so i ll introduce myself: my name is Alex and i am from Kiev Ukraine. Got my polo 1.4i savanna yellow (RNS510 / fog lights / xenon / multiwheel / winter package) in 2011 and thinking about adding some flavor to it now.

So here is the deal: generally speaking i LOVE how the car look by default (thats why i bought it in the first place), the only thing i kinda dislike is its rear side — it just lacks something. I guess new exhaust and rear skirt should fix the problem. I am already settled down with exhaust pretty much, its this one — https://www.youtube*.com/watch?v=pMeIU1F9Mu8& — 400 Euro for exhaust, 160 Euro twin pipes in chrome. However i am still not sure about the skirt — the one in the video is ingo noak bumper but it seems to be visibly lower then standard rear bumper so i cant install it alone without the whole set (and i dont want to buy whole set of skirts because i like front and side as is, also dont want to lower ground clearance). Another option is abt exhaust kit http://ramspeed.com.au/forum/attachment ... 1311051672 it seems perfectly but i prefer twin side pipes rather then twin centered pipes.

Any ideas how to accomplish having noak exhaust + twin side pipes and a skirt to fit it nicely in?
I will appreciate any insight. Maybe someone saw that ingo noak skirt live and its not that much lower then standard?

On a side note — anyone tried chip-tuning 1.4i atmo engine? Heard its possible to get extra 10-15hp from it. VTG is popular in our country but they are not chiping this exact engine.

Hi mate.

Welcome to the forum.

Black wheels are a must on a yellow car IMO. The contrast would work well.

Yup i am thinking about matte black with light yellow thin line around it. Like JE Design http://www.mykarre.com/file/pic/gallery/7747.jpg but yellow. Thing is dealer offered me current wheels almost for free so i had to take it.

But rear skirt is a prio atm, cause standard skirt is what annoys me the most for some reason I kinda like GTI skirt though. Maybe i should order it and just forget about it.
Anyone know part numbers on gti chrome twin pipe and will i be able to somehow fit it on standard exhaust?
(already know part no for bumper)

p.s. btw, what about that awkward posting system with every post being verified ><

In my opinion the gti rear bumper would look better than either of those. It just makes the Polo look more OEM. I am waiting until the summer and I might get some of the gti parts myself :) Also have a look at the Rieger kit for the polo :D

One question regarding disks — i am looking for the gti one as well, however i am not sure if i want 17, probably 16 is better deal all around.
So i found these babes — http://wheelsworldwide.co.uk/wheels/wsp/ciprus_w444/apf — is this the right thing? Heard it should be called "detroit" or something... /confused

Also, would you lower the car when going from 14 to 16 or will it look ok as is?

p.s. sorry for lots of questions xD

Guess i am doing that with black glossy film. Can also do matt or carbon but glossy seems better imo

installed new wheels today, gonna post picks soon.
Somehow my car is now like cross polo — its higher with 16* over 14... I can install springs (not too expensive), but my winter wheels are 14 so i am not sure if i want to do it.
