right guys
Inlet manifold is off to powdercoaters, hate the boring finish as standard!
My question is..... The gasket? Is there an uprated one or different one I can buy other than standard..
Thought I saw something somewhere about badger5 has one...? Looked on website, nothing on there really
Let me know peeps
Cheers

Re: Inlet manifold 1.8t
Speak to Bill at Badger 5 about the phelonic gasket. Helps keep temps down on the inlet. I have one of these to fit to mineSimon90 wrote:right guys

No not yet lol. Just dropped a load of bits off for powder coating today and have been working on the engine. To be honest I think I will be going to Badger 5. He quoted 450+vatSimon90 wrote:Spot on

The PowerGasket Plus™ is made from a purpose-built high performance composite material. It conducts on average less than 1/500th of the heat of the steel gasket that it replaces. Your intake manifold will stay 30-50° F cooler and your incoming air will stay 20-30° F cooler.

Re: Inlet manifold 1.8t
This is the same principle but the badger 5 one is thicker and a better material. So I went for that one. Suppose they do the same thing but I would expect it to run cooler the thicker it is.

Re: Inlet manifold 1.8t
Yep that's what I paid. You get everything you'll need for that price. Once fitted and you have been on a drive you should be able to touch the inlet without it burning your hands.Simon90 wrote:So got a price £65???

Re: Inlet manifold 1.8t
Sweet just wanted to double check first
That's good its that warm cos powder coaters were unsure if the finish would remain after a drive
I'll order that next week...
