What do you think of that head-unit?

I've currently got the standard Beta system!

That looks damn amazing! I'm in love with it, and i simply cant think of anything that can replace it!

EDIT:- Just realised, i cant see weather it supports mp3 :(

Does ne1 know of a similar design which supports mp3 aswell?

o ok! how old is this unit? :?

does it have enough bass?

I've seen it for £150, is it worth it?

My budget is about £150-£200

So if someone could recommend a nice head-unit!

I've got sony in mind, and then pioneer, clarion or rockford fosgate (Bein the most expensive)

i think the headunit is fairly new, i bought it in january and it was a new model then. but it is not listed in the newest sony mobile brochure
i think it has nice bass, but i can't really tell because i'm running standard speakers :) but i have noticed a great amount of increase in sound quality when upgrading from the beta.
can't say anything about the prices as i don't really know the market over there, but compared to how much i got mine for, it looks like a good bargain!
i would advise you look through the new sony models first before going for this one. there's a model called cdx-m8800 which has a buttonless display like this and mp3. plus i think it looks a lot better and will suit the dash better because it's not shiny like ca900.

i hope this helps!

£213, for the one you recommend!

I saw a photo of the unit, when it's powered off! The thing is, you can see the blue dials or what not behind it, so i didn't really like it! It looked cheapy!!!

I'm interested in the rockford fosgate, i just found the bottom of the range one, for about £218!!!

You cant call it bottom of the range though, since it is rockford fosgate we're talking about!

EDIT:- How about this, ALL IN ONE! looks good! http://www.letsbuycaraudio.com/main/?ca ... oduct=1466

Get one of the pioneers.

either the MP-7400 or the replacement 7600 i think.

Both MP3 compatible and damn good for the money.

i used to have the 7400.

Sony? Pioneer? No!

The quality of both is awful, I wouldn't go near them with a bargepole!

Got enough money for an Alpine?
