1.2 TDI Remap?

I'm just wondering if anyone on here has any experience of a remap in a 1.2 TDI on a 6R and from who?I see cheapy tuning boxes everywhere for about £70+ right up to £300!But I'm led to believe I should avoid these like the plague!I'm not all that fussed about power (otherwise I would have kept my Civic 2.2 CDTI) but more economy!Any thoughts etc are welcome!

Just got this engine in a 2011 SE and feels less pokey than my 1.4 TDI match that I had was wondering if the TDI Tuning chips are any good...

Can't speak from personal experience but the tmc box seems well regarded on the with the 1.4 tsi/tfsi the 1.6tdi 2.0tdi the abarth 500 based on these I'd certainly consider it I'm not aware of remapped 1.2tdi or even if they can be done without the ecu being removed

Originally the only way to tune most of these engines were tuning boxes in some situations it's still better then having the ecu ripped out because they can't map via obd socket

I doubt hho87 will respond; they were last active on the forum on 1st July 2012!
