Had the Oil breather put on by volkswagen this afternoon after a few consumption issues i have to bring it back in after 1000 miles or until the oil light pop's up !
and then they will see if it is necessary to take it to the next step !

The polo is in on Wednesday for final diagnosis then I should be getting a new engine ! The breather mod has helped but the oil usage still seems to be out of spec !

Car really does look nice, have they given you a time frame for sorting it?

The work took two days to do which was reasonable it was just the faffing about with getting invoices and job cards which took ages almost a week after getting it back I on,y just got the paperwork!

The car is running a lot better since the job has been done , I've been allowing the engine oil temp to get to 85degrees before I will even consider putting in any high revs and giving it a good variety at the rev range once its there ! Checked my oil level last night after 250 miles and no change what so ever , before the engine replacement was carried out it would be on at lease 60% on the dip stick.
