I have had this well below average mileage car from new, but the time has come to move onto something a little bit newer. Have thoroughly enjoyed owning this wee pocket rocket and will be genuinely sad to see it go.
The car is by no means standard and has benefited from the following mods: Full turbo back Miltek exhaust with sports cat. Stage one APR remap which was put on at Awesome GTI. Forge silicone turbo intake pipe. All 3 engine mounts have been replaced with Vibra tecnics ones ( dogbone,gearbox and main engine one) in January of this year. All head light bulbs have been changed for Osram night breakers.
All disc were replaced with Brembo grooved discs and pads last summer. The gearbox oil recall was done in year one of ownership and I enquired about the coil pack recall but was told my car didn't require them replaced. The wheels on it are Ronal Bugatti wheels 16" and all the tyres are pretty much brand new Toyo Proxes 4
Cambelt, v belt and waterpump were done in 2010 at 34000 miles
This summer the car has also had the following work done:
2 new wishbones
Both ball joints
Both top mounts and bearings
Polybushes on the front of the wishbones (Cupra bushes fitted not long after I got the car and they are still solid)
2 new Lucas red front calipers
2 new Lucas rear calipers (painted red myself)
New silver top Varta battery fitted this summer as the original finally gave up after 8 years
All the above parts were genuine VAG parts bar the poly bushes and battery.
All the usual Polo GTI equipment:
Interlagos cloth sports seats are all very clean and bolsters are all good (always had a seat cover on the drivers seat)
Leather steering wheel, gear stick gaiter and handbrake handle all have red stiching
Standard stereo but has ipod connectivity in the glovebox
The car is mechanically sound and any inspection is welcomed, serviced annually by myself regardless of mileage so the service book has no dealer or specialist stamps in it apart from the first two services. It is an 8 year old car and the body work has the usual stonechips on the front etc but no dings or dents. I noticed there is a small bit of paint bubbling on the rear drivers side arch.
