Big Brake Kit Compatibility
Big Brake Kit Compatibility
Thinking to upgrade to AP Racing 330x28mm brake kit for my PGTI and wonder if the SEAT Leon Mk2, Golf Mk4 or Audi TT Mk1 kit would fit directly or with a few washers?
Re: Big Brake Kit Compatibility
From what I've read the 6r shares the same brakes as the mk4

Re: Big Brake Kit Compatibility
polo brakes are the same as mk4 platform
so yes considering you already have carriers which can be separated from the hub then cupra, tt , mk4 golf, octavia vrs etc will fit on

Re: Big Brake Kit Compatibility
I had a Brembo Cupra R setup on my old S3, and took them off before sale with a view to fitting them to my Polo GTI.
They would fit, but I would have needed some big spacers on the front for the stock wheels to fit (circa 20mm each side from memory) so I decided against it as running that much spacing on the steering axle kills the steering geometry in my opinion.
There are some kits made to fit behind the stock 17" wheels, but they're not cheap. Eg http://www.awesomegti.com/vw-polo-6r-fr ... -brake-kit
