VW Track My Order
When I put my order number into the VW Web site it correctly shows the Model, Gearbox(manual), Colour, & Upholstery and says it is with the factory (stage 2).
But it doesn't show any of the options I ordered such as Sunroof, Cruise & Park Pack, Folding Mirrors, 5 year warranty.
Is this normal?
My dealer did email me a very poor quality scan of the order and although it didn't show the whole page it did seem that the options were on there and someone had put a tick against each one but it was hard to see as half of the text on the left hand side was missing where the scan cut off. Still there was enough to identify each option.
I'm just wondering why none of those options are listed on the VW Web site and whether I should be taking any action before the order moves on a stage.

Re: VW Track My Order
Thanks for that. Having the web site facility is a good idea but it could be so much better if it included everything. And if the timescales are not accurately reported ....
Oh well. Last time I ordered a new car 14 years ago I just had to wait until the dealer rang me to say it had arrived. So progress of a sort I guess.

Re: VW Track My Order
My experience of the "Track My Order" facility is that it displays the "Order With Factory" status for ages (and ages - in my case approx 12 weeks) and then it stayed at "Confirmed Build Week" (in my case it just said 0 for the build week) for 3 weeks and now it's at "Your Car Has Been Built and is on its way, etc."
So it's expected to be with the dealer at the end of April, so that will make about 21 weeks in total for a Blue GT 5dr manual with quite a lot of extras. Still, at least I've had a Blue GT to run around in whilst waiting for this one (this one was not ordered from the factory with xenon's which were on my confirmed order with the dealer).

Re: VW Track My Order
My GTI had been at stage 2 "With the Factory" since ordering on March 23.
This morning I received an email from VW saying :-
Step 3 of 7: Your order has been confirmed for build week commencing [Build Date Un-Available]
I guess that's progress! If I go to the VW Track My Order page it says :-
Your order has been confirmed for production. Please contact your Volkswagen retailer for further information
So I've sent my very helpful local dealership an email to see if they do have any more date specific info.

Re: VW Track My Order
You might want to speak to VW customer services as they had a completely different build week from the one the dealer had (about 4 weeks sooner).Guy wrote:My GTI had been at stage 2 "With the Factory" since ordering on March 23.

Thanks for that tip. VW Customer Services have said it is currently scheduled for Build Week 19 commencing May 4.

Re: VW Track My Order
I'd been looking at the VW Track My Order every few hours this week but it was still stubbornly stuck on Stage 3.
This morning I received an email to say it was now at Stage 5 :-
Step 5 of 7: Your car has been built and has now left the factory. On average it takes 4 weeks from build for this model to reach your local Volkswagen Retailer.
AFAIK the Web Site never showed it at Stage 4.
I placed my order on March 23 so if that 4 weeks delivery time is achieved, the total time will be well within the 3 - 4 months I was advised at order time.

My tracker order or text update from VW never showed stage 4 either.
Re: VW Track My Order
I ordered my 3 door Blue GT on the 8th March and it is still at stage 2. The Dealer tells me it should be being built the 2nd week in June.
Re: VW Track My Order
My Blue GT is now at Stage 3 which means I have a confirmed build week for week starting 1st June.

Wife's 5 door 1.2TSI SEL was ordered 10/04/15 and is today showing as due build week commencing 22/06/15 - that should be in South Africa, so any ideas when it will get delivered?

Re: VW Track My Order
On May 20 I received an automated email from VW saying :-
Your order status has been updated. Your car has arrived in the UK. It is now awaiting clearance and transportation to your retailer. This normally takes 7 days.
Also at the same time on the VW Track My Order website the stage changed to 6.
On May 23 the Salesman sent me an email saying much the same although he was saying they wouldn't get it for about 2 weeks. I don't want to hurry them as they have to prepare it.
However I was waiting to get the VW email saying that Stage 7 had been reached but haven't received any more emails from VW. But I've kept a daily look at the Tracker site and the car has been at Stage 6 every time.
Today I put my order number into the VW Tracker and it says :-
We couldn't find your Volkswagen order number. Please check your 8 digit number and try again. If you continue to experience problems please email us at [email protected]
Hmm. Does that mean that the car has been delivered to the Dealer? Or has it vanished from the system? Perhaps I should contact the Dealer or VW but I'd rather not hurry the Dealer if that means the car won't get a proper checking over.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? It does seem that stages get skipped.

Re: VW Track My Order
Track My Order is not working for me either so looks like they're having technical problems.
