6R and 6C compatible parts???

Alright folk I've just got myself one of the new 6C GTI's. I came from one of the mk4 Ibiza FR and was quite confident with getting my hands dirty with it.
Although I'm not going to rush into modifying the polo just yet, I'm struggling to find any information about compatable parts and I don't want to buy things that fit the 6R and they won't fit onto my 6C.

To begin with, the likes of lowering springs, are they the same between the R and the C??
other things I fancy changing would be the air filter, the wing mirror caps for carbon (if not then I'll wrap them).

Like I said I came from the mk4 Ibiza which was a pre facelift and I put a lot of the facelift parts on because it was a straight swap. Is it much the same with these polo's??

running gear is quite comparable on the 6R and the 6C. the biggest differences really are the electronics. mechanically, not a lot has changed

Well... apart from new engines! The only one carried over is the 1.4 TSI in the BlueGT (although with a power bump). The 1.2 TSIs are a different unit with a belt instead of a chain driven cam.

I'm presuming the body then apart from bumper tweaks are the same? So I'm guessing if I'm buying parts (not engine obviously) such as intakes/exhausts/body work, I should be fine with 6r stuff on the 6c??

Well intakes and exhausts might well be different, seeing as they're kind of key with the new engines!
