What do I need to complete this install

Post by 4dbarton »

Hi Guys I just purchased a Kenwood single din radio. My car is a 2011 Polo 1.2S. The radio is not very good currently so looking to upgrade. I think I know what items I need such as wiring harness, fascia plate, etc.

So far I have found the following:
https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connect ... panel.html

https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/autolea ... rness.html

Is there anything I have missed and are these suitable?

The harness says that I dont need to splice wires etc is this correct? I assumed I would have to crimp wires that came with the radio to the wiring harness.

any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Thanks for the reply so all of those items are correct? Also is this the correct aerial adaptor (https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/autolea ... aptor.html)

Cheers

the green/blue bit looks ok to me. i'm not sure whether the other end will fit your radio, it depends on the antenna entrance on it

Ive checked the radio and I am fairly confident it will be ok. The big question I have is that the harness seems to be plug and play. Is this correct? So all I would need to do would be remove old radio and connect the harness to the car and the new radio? Surely it cant be that easy
