Upgrading mfd?

Post by Asamoli »

I currently have a midline mfd in my 2011 1.2 polo SEL and I'm wondering where can I get a highline mfd? And is it just plug and play? Thanks in advance

There is some VCDS coding to be done, there will be others that know more than me though. It is not a straight swap as I think the immobiliser and keys are tied to the cluster plus your mileage.

if you get a new one, you only have to code the immobilizer. that, a dealer can do for you. new clusters can be bought at the vw dealer for around 700 euros (at least that is what they cost here).
or you can get a used on ebay or a second hand site

If I get a second hand one what would I need to do? And will my bcm support it or would it need an upgrade?

You don't have to change BCM.
