9N3 GTI Build/progress Thread

Post by Hennerzz »

Alright Guys!

So been looking around this forum for a while now since I got my new car.
Haven't posted any Pictures of the car yet so thought I would post some and make a list of what i have done and want left to so.

So things that I have done.
- H&R Lowering Springs (30mm)
- Matt black wrapped wing mirrors
- Matt black wrapped front badge
- Matt / Gloss black rear badge.
- Kenwood Stereo
- 12" Edge Sub
- Chrome heater dials
- Press metal number plates
- Pipecross air filter

-UPDATE now down-
- Honeycomb grills
- Remap!
- Miltek Cat back exhaust
- Forge 008 Dump Valve

Things to do.
- New/refurbed wheels
- Wrapped side skirts (you guessed it Matt black)
- Colour coded engine cover
- Rear windows tints
- Do something with the interior plastic trim (paint or wrap)
- Silicone turbo inlet pipe.
- Spacers (need to look into this more, if anyone has them and can let me know what sizes look best)
- Probably other things I will want to do that I will remember as soon as I post this.

I really didn't realise I had done that many things till I listed them all down. I know they arent major but still!
Anyway pictures!

Very nice I like it
30mm looks good but needs to be a bit lost how doesn't handle with the hr springs? Compared to the standard

Thanks.

Still needing a lot of work done in my eyes.
Couple of bodywork issues that need to be sorted and swirl marks that need to be removed.

Yeah she will go lower at a later date, ideally would like coilovers at some point.
The springs do make the ride a fair bit stiffer than standard but that was expected.
Having to go a fair bit slower over speed bumps.
In the corners it feels better for sure but I don't really push it round bends on my commute to work haha.

Finally updating this after far to long!
Many changes have been made since and more are on there way!

So I have now got my Catback Miltek Exhaust.
Need some longer exhaust rubbers but that means getting under the car and been far to lazy to do that.
There just isnt enough logo being clearly shown for my liking.

Fitted my lower honeycomb grills (finally) they have been sitting around for ages!
This is the remains of the old centre section.

Got some MK4 Golf Anniversary edition 312MM front callipers.
Fitted new Brembo Pads and Disks all round as well.

Such a small gap between the wheel and the caliper!

Please ignore the state of my wheels!
They are being refurbed and painted this week while I'm on holiday so will have updates in just over a week!

Got my Remap done at AMD Essex a few weeks ago!
Don't have a picture of the graph to hand but will post at a later date.
It rolling roaded at 146 BHP with 162 lb-ft as standard.
After the rempa 183.8BHP and 232 lb-ft after.
Makes such a difference and i advise anyone with one of these cars to remap it! Well worth the investment.

Got LED interior lights and side lights but haven't taken any pictures of them yet.

And just 3 other pictures because polo.
