Hi guys. I've had my new Polperro match for a fortnight now. Previously a ford nut.
I'm getting on with the car really well but the gearbox seems a bit unforgiving when manouvering.
You think it's in 1st, but push it a bit further and them it's a case of , ok now it's in. Same with reserve sometimes too.
Am I just too used to a fiesta gearbox too much or should it be smoother?

Re: Gearbox
I've had that with lots of cars, you think it's in first but it has to go a bit further......you get used to it.
It does go straight in sometimes and the same can be said for reverse.
You'll know when it's not in as the gears crunch.....as i'm sure you've found out.

My Polo does this too, as my Fabia before that did, and my Polo before that too...

Re: Gearbox
Mine is also like that, especially the reverse. 4 out of 5 times i have to use some force to get it in, sometimes i need to reuse the clutch or even drive forward abit...
