after going the engine swap road, would you recommend to the average person to swap engines or sell the car and just buy the one with the better engine?
how would you rate the engine swap from a 1.2 to a 1.6 on a polo?(based on how hard is it)

i can tell you from my own experience, it's a lot of work. if you like that, go ahead. if you like the easy way (and it's a LOT easier), get another car.
i did it because there is so much mods done to this car, i can't sell it. but otherwise, sell it.

Does anyone know anything about a 7E0 BCM not being able to read the 02 address of the gearbox?

I have a suggestion. It is because of T73b/37 pin. On 7E0 it become LIN bus but gearbox is still could use K-line. I think you shoud try to pull out this wire from BCM socket.

Thank you for your suggestion. However, T73b/37 is not connected on my car at all.
In 'early' PQ25 cars, it was indeed K-Line. But are you sure about /37 being linbus? Wasn't that /36 for the MFSW?

If I am not mistaken T73b/37 on 7E0 BCM is LIN bus for smart battery terminal.

Would you suggest to connect the smart battery terminal to T73b/49 like on bcm 7H0?
