Rear spacer issue 15mm

Post by Mrjoshua9 »

Anyone got a fix for fitting 15mm hubcentric spacers to the rear?

Fronts fit no problem but because the rear hub Center sticks out so much it won’t allow the spacers to sit flush!

Center Bore is Standard VW 57.1, it’s just too deep!

Get them machined then, to make it deeper. Add additional +0.5 mm to the difference.

You can grind down the hub lip but this is a hack way, cheaper but I wouldnt do it personally.

Have you managed to resolve this?

I also tried to fit some Bimecc 15mm spacers to the Rear on Saturday and I can't get them flush either! Fronts were fine.

It's the internal chamfer highlighted in Red which is stopping it.

I’ve ended up purchasing more spacers, a pair of 10mm without the hubcentric locating lip, and a pair of 5mm the same. They are still 57.1 Center bore size. Not got round to fitting them yet.

Hopefully either I can use both those to make 15mm and there is still enough space on the hub to centralise the wheel or I may add the 5mm to the back of the 15mm!
