Execution Time: 1-2h

Process:
NOTE prior to any work disconnect the ground wire from the battery
First disassemble the counter. To do this, carry out the steps listed in the following figure
Image

After unscrewing the blend / canopies and the counter we have two plug-green and blue as in the picture below

Replacing counter to that of the GTI version is nothing like taking out the old and plugging the new one in its place. Plug and pin layout of the connectors is the same so there are no problems of incompatibility.

Mount therefore available in the reverse order. First count, then lower diaphragm, then peak
Image

We give ourselves some time to enjoy the view of the new meter and tasteful" peak "

Unfortunately this is not the end and just the beginning, because the correct installation is required even two steps.
counter as we know it has the ability to display the outside temperature. Therefore, if we skipped this step instead of the temperature display will see:

To hook the sensor you need to download the front bumper and a description of the forum is a plethora of so steer clear of this part.
sensor and mount pre-mounted on the reinforcing bar and the same will be done in the following specification.
On photo is mounted portrayed as a whole

bracket and wiring harness temperature sensor

Sensor temperature and its handle - see photo 2 pieces I edited 2p, but just 1pc.
With factory klimatronic any, handle and one of the sensors is mounted.
Image

Put sensor bracket to mount the beam in place for that purpose
Image
temp sensor goes into the handle to be pressed
Image

Connect one of the twin plugs (no matter which) to the sensor

We put the cable in special grooves that are in the handle and put a handle on the beam from its internal parts.
The handle is shaped so that come only in one position. The whole is to be pressed on the hooks.
Hooks pointed out the blue arrows below fotce

This is the sensor correctly installed

Next awaits us connect the temp sensor harness connector of the electrical installation in the car.
What enjoying every Polo we have finished the installation. Plug-in installation is hiding under indicator on the passenger side . It is blind and it looks like the picture below
Image

Fetch therefore, cap and plug the power plug from the beam, which we installed earlier on the beam. Fast, convenient, without unnecessary soldering Image

Before installing the bumper, we assume Klem battery to see if the meter displays the temperature.

The final step is appropriate coding to indicate counter suit our engine version. With the help comes interface and soft as VAGCOM 3.11
default counter is encoded sequence 00141
