Polo 1.2TSi 7DSG Long coding

Hello everyone!

My name is Vedant and I have an Indian spec 1.2 TSi 7DSG Polo! I recently replaced my clockspring with a used one as my original one short circuited during some other retrofits. How ever after installing the used clockspring and copying the long coding over, the car Traction light refuses to go away! I tried following all basic adaptation procedures for the steering angle sensor, but it always stops at aborted due to safety reasons. The ABS unit also has a fault code that says it cannot function due to a coding error in another module which i think is the steering angle sensor. I will be posting the auto scan for my car below, so I would request if someone can help me figure out the long coding for the ABS Unit and the Steering angle sensor! The autoscan should provide you with all the data you need! You can ignore the Airbag, Radio, and Transmission errors can be ignored as I'm already working on fixing the wheel speed sensor.

Please provide the type and size of the front and rear brakes. I don't have enough data for your ESP9.0i, maybe someone else can help with your ABS coding.

Dear Master, Polo 6R sold here came with 254mm front disc and 200mm rear drums.

I see too many red flags in the autoscan. Most notable is steering angle sensor " mechanical failure" indicating hardware issue if I guessed it right. This might also explain why calibration/ basic settings is unsuccessful.

Hence my question, if the G85 sensor is not installed correctly, the interior flex cable breaks before reaching the end stops of the steering wheel... it has happened to several users here.

For the ABS coding I think you or iichel have more data for the 6R IND.

Also, what is the part number of your clock spring? Is it 6Q0... or 6R0...? Genuine VW?
Scan says 6R0, so that's good. Just making sure. ESP 9.0i needs 6R0 clock spring/steering angle sensor.

The part number is a 6R0.. taken off another exact car. Also another interesting thing I noticed is that I can read the values of the steering angle sensor accurately from the ABS Module measuring blocks, but not from the Steering angle sensor ones so I'm a little skeptical of the steering angle sensor not working mechanically. Do I adapt the modules in a particular order or something? Also as someone asked, I tried the adaptions from the adaptions menu of each respective module. Steering angle sensor calibration said running, and finished almost instantly. The ABS module adaptation for steering angle sensor is the one that always gets aborted due to safety. Should I maybe just try another clockspring or check the alignment?
The wheel speed sensors also seem to always go out on the rears, possibly due to a low battery? I'll get the sensors fixed then try the adaptions once again maybe

I do not have a scan of the previous car with the old sensor! The car is a same spec and similar year car so I dont think it had anything else extra from factory. Another thing I wanted to also know is I have 312mm GTi brakes installed in the front with stock rear drum brakes! From my current knowledge, this combination isn't possible in the ABS module, but is there anyway I can code the ABS module to atleast something more apt!

I cannot do a suggestion for front 312mm and rear drums, sorry. I would suggest to consider rear discs, this is a very strange combination in many ways

Indian cars do not even get the rear axle to be able to install rear discs, hence the only option we have is to get the biggest front kit possible. I've been driving it for well over 15k KMS, everything works well but i just feel that the ABS kicks in a little bit too early. Can anyone please try explaining to me how I should probably try recalibrating the ABS Module and Steering angle sensor?

iichel I am afraid, none of the codings you've provided will be accepted by his ABS module. He must upgrade his ABS module firmware first.

Vedant, the best course of action for you would be to fix the speed sensor issue first. And then try recalibrating angle sensor ( do it with engine running). As iichel said, your ABS coding is perfectly fine.
