Polo 6R - Sanket's 1.0 TSI
Hi Guys,
Recently I purchased an Amarok MFA+ cluster. and after connecting to my Polo 6R the immobiliser got active and it cleared my ABS coding. After reinstalling my stock cluster, I was getting ABS and traction control lights, After adding a new coding via a Bluetooth OBD connector. I added a ABS coding and now just the Traction control light is being displayed and one error persists saying something like "ESP basic Settings" which gives me doubt about the ABS coding isn't the right one.
I don't have a VCDS cable with me else I would have attached the whole scan along with the post. From what I have been able to gather I have an ESP 9 ABS module.
Could anyone please help restore the original coding?

Sounds like your coding is fine and you need an obd scanner to finish basic settings of the esp unit.

Start the engine, access the module with your scanner, security access 40168 (from memory), press the brake hard and releasy, basic settings, ESP function test or basic settings for ESP. The exact wording differs from scanner to scanner so I'm unsure.

Hello Guys,
With the help of Aditya, I recently upgraded my polo's BCM from 087S to BCM Max 090E. I had purchased BCM Max used from Poland, and while doing the upgrade I encountered key adaptation issue which so many other people have reported, adaptation Channel 1 wasn't available. I went through all the topics on this forum as well as posts on other forums, but couldn't get the issue fixed by myself.
Eventually I ended up at local locksmith who does duplicate spare keys. He worked on the car for 5 mins using his Xtool x100 pad and got my original key adapted.
If anyone who is in similar situation, please try out key adaptation with any of the key programmers before buying a new BCM Max probably that would work for you'll too.
Thanks to Aditya for all the support that he has been providing and special thanks Fernando who discovered the possibility of BCM MAX upgrade and made it accessible to all.

Thank you for your kind words guys I have learnt a lot while going through this forum, Just trying to give back whatever little that I learn.
As of today, I am in a soup. I had purchased a BCM Max wiring locally and tried installing it myself over the last two weekends. I did finish the BCM Max installation yesterday and then went on to install auto headlight wiring which I had purchased from our fellow member sparrow77.
After completing the installation, when I connected the battery terminal. My Right side low beam came on when I connected the battery terminal.
But good news
1) The car is Starting a relief for me considering it was my first time taking on something of this nature installation. Of course learnt numerous things while carring it out. Damaged a few butt connectors broke a MQS Terminal and repaired it due to unavailability if it around the place I stay. (I'll replace this asap)
2) As soon as I put headlight switch to Auto, the low beams came on. Tail light, turn signals, and front fogs work fine. (Didn't get to check then SCL)
Issue which I am currently present
1) The right side low-beam remains on after locking the car. I have to remove the battery terminal to stop it from draining battery(task successfully ac).
2) The rear fog light also comes on as soon as I put the headlight switch to the parking light.
3) Both HighBeams don't come on.
4) Driver side power window switch seems to be inverted If I pull up the button meanT for fronT passenger window it ends up executing that command on driverside window and vice versa. (powerwindow switches on other doors work perfectly well)
5) As soon as the headlight switch is moved to parking, the Instrument cluster and Discover media buttons light up fine so do the MFSW button backlights. But backlight for door buttons doesnt come on.
6) HighBeam comes on when the light Stalk is pulled to flash. It also appears in the cluster when its pulled. But when its push to turm the high beam on it doesnt come up doesnt come up in cluster too.
Note: Dimmer connector T6/3 has been attached but the dimmer switch is in transit and will reach me by mid of this month

Auto Scan with BCM MAX (I am in the process of fitting rear discs. I had to change my rear axle like how Patil Sir had to do, Unfortunately the wheel hubs which came with the rear axle werent compatible with ABS Setup hence rear abs sensor had to be taken out(This has caused fault codes to appear under Engine, Auto Trans and ABS controllers.))
I'll really be gratefull if any of our gurus pull me out of this soup.

I've taken a quick look at your scans, but I'll take a closer look as soon as I can (BCM coding needs to be modified).
To advance in a task, check that adaptation channels 53 and 54 of your 'new BCM Max' have the value "0", if they are "1" change them to "0".

As a starting point, I know that you have an Automatic light wiring that I manufactured, compatible for all POLO 6R in the world as long as the appropriate conditions are met.
Since I don't know anything about the BCM Max Adaptation wiring that you installed, please post a link to the installation guide for this Adaptation wiring, even if it is an installation guide that I made.
I know that VW introduced some improvements in the electrical installation of your Model Year 'M' 2021, so it will also facilitate our help/assistance if you post an image of the Original and/or Current fuse box. Also from the relay area.
I make a 'Provisional/Experimental' BCM coding for your 6R 'to know what is right or wrong'... this provisional coding will be modified later if necessary.

There will be several permanent failures/faults/issues because it is 'essential' that you install the missing parts (dimmer, rear ABS sensor,...) and replace broken/bad contact terminals.

Window switches, under observation.
PS1: Since you are involved in several mods, do not abuse the battery while you cannot drive the car so that it can recharge, or use a battery charger to recharge it from time to time.
PS2: It would be a luxury for us to have an Autoscan with the factory/original BCM High coding, that is, without modifications/untouched, or the oldest one you have, this way we could fine-tune the current BCM Max coding.

I had to change my rear axle like how Patil Sir had to do, Unfortunately the wheel hubs which came with the rear axle werent compatible with ABS Setup hence rear abs sensor had to be taken out(This has caused fault codes to appear under Engine, Auto Trans and ABS controllers.))

Firstly My sincere apologies to Fernando and Mayur. Things going on in my professional life are having very bad impact on my personal life and I was struggling to find time for myself and the car. Thinking & planning about the retrofits to my little polo is the only thing that is keeping me sane during this time. Please accept my sincere apologies for not being able to respond sooner.

Stock FuseBox After BCM Max Adaptation Relays After AWL adaptation I had tried the BCM coding which you had mentioned doing and fixing one loose pin from the BCM connector the lowe beams where working fine. but High beam weren't working. And the right side low beam used to remain on.
With the help of Aditya, It was found that I made a schoolboy error or assumed the I/P & O/P pins for fuse 39 and 34 to follow the same direction as for fuse 44. (While installing bcm max wiring I had first installed the fuse 44 wiring). and that was causing the right headlight to be always on even after turning the car off. Once I got the terminals from Aditya for fuse box I fixed these mistakes which I had made and also fixed the T17/17 terminal. After this, The headlight features are working fine. Rear fog light issue also got resolved after swapping the dimmer wire with the butt connector wire. There was a mistake in the BCM Max Adaptation wire.
On the Auto headlight front, they have been working fine since fixing the loose BCM connector. CH.LH all are working perfectly fine.
Now some issue have remained: Light Switch Connector's ambient light for Parking light and Low Beam doesn't glow. The same also happens for the OVRM Switch, power window switch front driver side their ambient light dont glow and their functions have got inter changed. When I move the Switch to fold mirror it actually opens the mirror and moving it to R or L or 0 it closes the mirrors. Front Right and Left Power windows buttons from are working on opposite mirrors. But Rear Power window switches work fine even from the drive side master power window switch .
Another peculiar thing which I noticed was once I have cleared DTC only DTCs related to ABS and MIB2 remains. i.e Engine, Auto Trans, ABS Module and Information Electr. But as soon as I put on AC there are more errors which get added.
I am waiting for my dimmer to arrive and have also requested Aditya to help me out with dimmer if he has to test the set up. And if that fixes these remaining issues. Hopefully they do

Wheelhubs that came with newer Axle (introduced with Post 2014 Facelift Polo's) arent compatible with axle from older Polo's(Pre 2014 facelift). Both these wheelhubs are localised in India. You can get the FAG WheelHub suitable for older axle for around INR 3K (this has the same FAG part no which Patil Sir has used for his Rear Disc Upgrade). Now pre 2014 Facelift polos came with and without ABS and their wheelhub are different. The car from which my rear axle came didn't have abs hence I had to change the wheel hub so that I could fit my rear abs sensors. Auto Scan with BCM MAX (I am in the process of fitting rear discs. I had to change my rear axle like how Patil Sir had to do, Unfortunately the wheel hubs which came with the rear axle werent compatible with ABS Setup hence rear abs sensor had to be taken out(This has caused fault codes to appear under Engine, Auto Trans and ABS controllers.))
