I'm in the market for a cat-back exhaust for a 2018 GTI (PRE OPF) and options are quite limited.
The obvious route is probably to go with the Milltek system as I can't find any other manufacturers who cater to the pre OPF cars.
Does anyone else have experience getting aftermarket exhaust on Pre OPF GTI and what did you go for?
Any recommendations would be very welcome
Thanks

Re: Exhaust recommendations
Hi, I have pre-OPF model (CZPC) too and I agree that there is less information than OPF model.
For my exhaust update, I searched the exhaust system with flap controlled and EC-approved as follow.
Sound scores are my opinion based on youtube. Sound quality of movies may be different, though.
My ex 9N GTI with Milltek high flow cat + non resonated exhaust is scored as 5/5.
I was interested in #3 Hurricane for the straight pipe design but I purchased #4 Siemoneit and HJS downpipe.
It is much better than youtube comparison, so other exhausts should have the better sound, too.
I hope these are useful for your BEV (Better Exhaust Vehicle)
1. Bastuck
Price: around €1500
Sound: 2.5/5

2. EGO-X
Price: around €2500
Sound: 3/5

3. Hurricane
Price: around €2500
Sound: 4/5 (It seems straight pipe when the flap is open)

4. Siemoneit racing CARNAGE
Price: around €1500
Sound: 3/5 (actual -> 4.5/5, less deeper than 9N Milltek)

5. Streetbeast
Price: around €2000
Sound: 2/5

Re: Exhaust recommendations
I'm finally in a position where I can order a cat back exhaust for my 2018 GTI. I want to order it from Progressive parts but their website says the pre-opf milltek (Part no
SSXVW556) won't fit my car. I suspect their website is wrong as this part is built for 2018-19 cars. Can anyone spare an opinion on this before I go ahead and order it?
