To close the loop on the unscheduled tasks:
- Replacement of front shock absorbers, control arms/suspension links, anti-roll bar links/coupling links, and swivel joints.
Images of the front shock absorbers and springs ('Sport', not GTI) of my 6R 1.2 TSI R-line from the factory:

It seems that the shock absorber protection bellows came loose from the plastic fastening adapter.

With 100,000 km / 14 years, they still feel in very good condition. During the brake replacement, I verified that there are no signs of play in the suspension components or cracks in the rubbers.
I estimate that we will enjoy another 100,000km with our 6R, so it would not make sense to change these parts at 150,000km when the rubber parts and other elements have high wear.
These are the parts from the VW supplying manufacturers that I am going to change:

I don't know the best time to install these parts. I have other jobs going on with vehicles that aren't mine. Family members and 'associates' are taking advantage of my vacation to use me as a simple mechanic.
I'll install them following erWin's instructions and take pictures of the key moments, that is, pictures of how not to use hammers or forks to remove ball joints during these tasks.
