What's the blue wire?

Post by AshLeMacq »

Ok Some fuckers nicked my alpine HU yesterday and the £60 I paid for a new passenger window (not bad eh, £60 I would rather have spent on xmas pressies but still. pmme if you want his contact number).

Anyway I can't afford a new HU at the min so the beta one is going back in.

It looks simple enough. The black small connector box thingy goes in well. The little round doufrey fits on well enough. But then there is this blue wire that I can't figure out where to put. The radio isn't starting so I assume that this is the problem??

It's a 6n2 1.0e.

Anyone??

the blue wire i figured is just for "remote"

which means to fire up an amp or motorized ariel (that spelt right?)

should just be a case of putting the blue and black connectors into your radio and putting in the round ariel connection thing

does your oe radio need a code??

Problem solved thanks to my nifty brother in law. The blue wire was actually on an extra connector thing that came with my alpine HU. Just took that off and all solved now.

He did also mention about the code!! Let's hope that the robbing bastards have a tough time re wiring it.

Thanks for the help

Ash
