brakes... f**ked??

I was going about 50mph down a downhill sliproad, then slammed on the brakes because lights were about to change red at the bottom. only thing is, after a coupla seconds flat on the brakes, there was this really bad grinding noise, and i could feel it through the brake pedal... any idea what this might have been?!?!

Wasn't the ABS kicking in was it?

First time it happened to me I thought something was terribly wrong!

yeh defo the abs. its worse in the ice, cos the pedel jus wont go down nd u think u wont stop!
