Car heater

Post by Randall »

Ladiez n Gents

I need your assistance...

Image

When i have my sidelights on or dipped beams the console colours glow but you know the figures on the heater dials are these meant to light up to?! e.g hot>cold, 1-4 etc i swear they are meant too but nothing glows on mine and if they are what sort of bulb is it that needs replacing

sorry will look eventually just being a bit lazy at the mo to look as she isnt being used as still waiting on suspension parts

The bulb is one of those push-fit type, not the bayonette fitting. Its quite easy to replace it as well.

pull the knob off and use a piece of washer jet hose to grip the bulb and pull it out, use the same type of hose to re-fit the bulb.

If you've got a haynes manual for the car it's section 12.10.

yep. just pull on the centre knob that controls the fan speed and the bulb is underneath. they were actually asking for 10euros to change the bulb at VW here in Greece.
