center box and back boxes

think scorpion do, maybe jetex, or y not go custom?

For ease of self fitment, price and speedy availability i was hoping for a more mainstream zorst than a custom jobby, cheers tho, i'll have a look at those uve suggested

UPDATE!

Cant find any scorpion systems on their website.

Jetex however, dont do a stainless system but do have an 'original' black system, Ref 30-H1 which covers 'Polo Mk3 C/GT/CoupÃ©/G40 87-94' given that it says 87-94 do you reckon it'll it mine ok seeing as i have an '88 Mk2?

Any other suggestions?

mine did 9500rpm then the gearbox blew

as for exhausts i would highly recommend a custom twin box system about 47mm bore.

mines 51mm bore and its loud with two boxes. lol used to be striaght through

01925 444 345 : Urban Racing, sorry used to work for them and they added 2 extra brackets on my car to hold it solid and did a fantastic job.

the centre box is there to absorb sound (and energy) at a different frequency to the back box.

thats a piccy of the exhaust system off my triumph that I've sold on ebay and its only got a back box as standard (yes the downpipe is just one peice of metal).

but on the car, it was noiser in the mid range that at hig speed due to the silencer design (or lack of one)

If you dont care about the noise or asthetics of the exhaust then I would go for an ERNST replacement system, I had one on my car and its never been replaced up until I purchased my ashely system.

that corrugated thing is the flexy pipe when the engine revs it moves about with out it the pipes would disconnect from eachother

anyway back to the subject my aim is to get the most power from the standard system thats on my polo at the moment, you could say im experimenting

im not after a loud sound just a sutle one.
the back box is going to be cut open and made stright though.

how does the size of the box effect the sound???

i heard demon tweeks sell bits of exhaust that you can put together and make a system not sure on prices tho
