Maybe it would've been more worthwhile if you created a new thread to get more replies, this thread is more for the discussion and updates on my car.

I'm sure you can only buy LED bulbs for the sidelights, and on the angel eyes, I think the sidelight is on the two rings in the unit. I guess you can take apart the headlight unit, and see which LED's are in the sidelight. Go to UltraLED's and see which LED bulb you need.

I got the LED sidelights and number plate lights. Some very good service from UltraLed's, too :D The sidelights are very good, as are the numberplate lights. However, I think I should of gone for the 18 LED version, not the 4 LED one. I would take some photos now, but it's chucking it down outside, and it's still light, so I'll take some in the dark later.

Time for some more updates :D

I have to say the sidelights are very bright now. Maybe it's time for a HID kit, as the new LED's don't go to well with the yellowy glow of the headlights

i read on another thread bout the LED sidelights melting are the 1's u ought okay? as they are not the metal encased 1's that sum1 else on here put in their car?

They should be alright. I think they melt because the people using them were using the main beam for prolonged periods. I rarely use my main beams anyway, it's not like I have to go on any country roads where I live.

LED's are looking good Ollie, they really are worth the money.

Any time I'm blatting around country roads, I just rely on cats eyes or the road markings to guide me, and I've got Xenons.

i hear what you're saying.. my parents live out in the country (well essex!) and i just love the country lanes out there! :D national speed limit combined with loads of bends.. with the car lowered and plenty of torque, such a rush! I've had both standard beams and xenons, with the standard you need full beam through those roads... but with the xenons makes a hell of a difference, makes the cats eyes and road marking really glow!

I'm not saying I enjoy going for a drive on country lanes. I'd rather do it during the day (the joys of being currently unemployed :D), than do it at night. I still feel a bit dodgy going out at night, where I'm uber careful when driving.

Some of my favourite country roads are around Sevenoaks and Westerham area.

Also, I got myself a TomTom One today, for the princely sum of £50 :D

gotta say i love wat u've done so far with your car ollie, especially the RXII's with the spacers  but i reckon a pair of xenons and tints would set it off nicely! i apologise in advance mate that i might have to copy one or two ideas from your car.. ie. spacers, leds, aero wipers! any1 know if there's whiter bulbs for the fogs?

I don't think there are LED bulbs for the fogs. It'd be a good idea though.

I have no problems with you taking inspiration from my car, mate. I think your car is looking excellent at the moment, the colour is great, as is the engine. I'll be looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

I'd love some xenon's though. Even if they're pricey though. I don't think my car is good enough to justify them.

Go on Ollie do it  then just get a GTi next

Do you know what bulbs the fog lights take? me and Dino were both thinking about upgrading the fogs to LED's.

I upgraded my brake lights to LED ones as well, they glow very dimly when the ignition is on then light up bright when you brake.

Haha, yeah. A GTI would be great :D Once I get myself a job sorted, then I'll seriously think about getting one.

The fog bulbs are apparently H7 bulbs, the same as the dipped bulbs (thinks of xenon fogs to blind passers-by )

Am I right in saying H7's don't have a bayonet base then?
