lol its all about adjusting the fireguard at the front - it has mounts that move forward, backward, up and down - just a case of aligning them correctly :)

I managed to pull the front forward 3/4 of an inch where it hadnt been refitted to solve a serious overhang issue with the bonnet.

Ah yes, I remember someone (possibly you) mentioning this when I bought it up before. Is it hard to do?

Nope literally takes two minutes. Its the two black bolts near the front of the wing. Two T30 torx screws with washers - ill get a photo. All you do is undo those, position it how you want then tighten them up

UPDATE:

Both bulbs ignite fine now. I got an exchange on the drivers side bulb so it work properly, but now we have another problem. The exchange bulb they gave me - even though its a 6000k, when it burns up to temperature, its more like a 4300k, so im getting another exchange on the 1st of July when I return from my holiday

In other news, I have ordered the new speakers:

Pioneer E176Cs and some E1763s for the rear

Image

My LED indicators have also turned up, as has the Red caliper paint, so I need to get those new g60 carriers all prepped up.

On the 1st of July the following is being done:

Clutch and Clutch Cable
Rear Discs and Pads
Front Carriers and Discs (to G60)
Anything else I find that needs doing.

Respray is also booked - This is happening on the 8th of July. Im getting it fully smoothed so its gonna look awesome when it is finished.

Just need to take out the headlights and replace with the old ones, mirrors, spoiler, boot handle, door handles, and front splitter to make it easier to get a full pukka job!

Im just a little worried about the interior when it goes in, but I am assured itll be ok - I think anyone would with having a leather interior.

Now something for a laugh - I have started branding certain little times out on the road GTI moments. A GTI Moment is any specific period of time when you know that if you were in a GTI, youd be able to say, overtake 3 or 4 slow cars whilst going up a hill, or own a Citroen Saxo VTR driven by burberry chavs at the lights on a road you happen to like.

The plan is, once I have it on the road, to live my GTI moments, but most of them will probably not come about anytime soon knowing my luck!

Alex, you'll have to let us know what the Pioneer kit is like, I'm after some components for my own GTi, definitely front, maybe back. I googled the E1763s but didn't find them, where are you buying from out of interest? I may do the same you see :P
