I've just ordered a new BCM... Hopefully it will arrive Friday...

BTW - many posts ago I've tried to install a 6C climatronic control unit but it did'nt work. Question is if will do now? Also a new dash from a 6C... Hmm.. Have to test when the BCM is working :-)

How did you order your BCM? I've just talked to my lokal VW dealer (in Germany but never mind). They sold me that I've can't order without a VIN number.

I bought here http://www.carparts-pros.com/index.php and always provide the VIN. No problem.

They request the order to the official dealer. Good service and competitive price for new parts.

How you retrofit instrument cluster? Local VW dealer from my city said, that they can't code other instrument cluster in authorised service.. I have only VCDS..

When the instrument cluster is new and compatible any VW dealership can do this work, in fact, my instrument cluster was installed at a VW dealership.

By the way, I fear (no sure) that for HBA I will have to update the software on my instrument cluster, wherever this is possible. :?

My VIN. Anyway you'll receive the control units uncoded (Basic coding from factory)

The important thing is to correctly specify the part number according to ETKA.

For example:
7E0937090 ... No
7E0937090 Z4Y ... Yes

Throughout this week I have been testing various combinations of encodings (hundreds  ) for BCM but I have not been able to find the right combination. Honestly, it's a very difficult job without having any information on long coding helper or UDS Adaptation channels ... Image

Next week (or when possible) I will go to official dealer to try to find a solution to the encodings, Adaptation, or update software (ODIS engineering).

This HBA system is very new on this type of BCM.

Is it maybe a problem with the coding of the IC or the camera?

Coding IC is OK, maybe update software.
Coding camera is right for xenon-lhd, same coding for scirocco 2015-16, but...

Many doubts at this time, we will see that says ODIS program...

By the way, I discovered new and interesting functions of this BCM that we will see over time.

Such improvement is very easy iichel, parts in ETKA and the wire connected to the instrument cluster T32/15. (enable with long coding helper on instruments Byte1 Bit0)
The problem is that almost always I do an efficient driving and never have had to change the brake pads due to wear... I drive with a lot of calm in the cities.

I'm looking forward to seeing the changes made by the VW dealership over Adaptation of BCM or Instrument Cluster for the HBA. Tomorrow I will call to the vw dealership for a programming session. Image
