Tweeted VW this morning and they've said mine is at build stage 5 of 8. Tracker still just says confirmed build week though. Fingers crossed it won't be too much longer.

today I've ordered a tuning box for my manual from DTUK, know a guy at work who has on his golf and can only say good things about the product and service.

Took a drive from home to Ludlow today, bout 40 miles to there. Some lovely twisty country roads, plus some dual carriageway. Goes like stink, in any gear there is power. Handling spot on, and ride its pretty comfortable in normal mode. Sport mode does firm up but still tolerable, and steering is more direct . More exhaust noise is fun too. Not reset my mpg so includes when dealer had running in workshop etc, arrived home with the average at 37 which I thinks pretty damn good for new motor. Have noticed in full sun a few swirls inflicted buy the dealer but plan to polish myself with D.A machine I have and put some wax over the top so not gonna beat myself up that they have slightly marked my lovely paintwork lol. Overall, well impressed.

Let us know how you get on with it, I've got one of them bookmarked to buy after Christmas once I've bedded my engine in a bit.
Speaking of which, collected mine earlier on. It's awesome, I love it. Haven't driven it as much as I'd like to yet due to other commitments but will be doing 60 odd miles later on so that'll be fun.
