You could just about get 2 fingers between the arch and the top of the tyre before it was lowered. Now, you can't get one finger between there!
OHHHHHH, really? Were the G40 shocks any different? How much lower were the G40 springs to GTs? Is there any way to tell if I'm runnin' G40 springs just now?

G40 springs are 25mm lower than standard springs, IIRC.

Not sure how you'd identify them being on your car, though!

I was, though the thread's gone off a bit here.

The guy at the garage commented that my car looked surprisingly normal considering it's larger wheels - i.e. not like a 4x4 - and commented that this might be down to G40 springs. Something I'd imagine would be reasonably cheap to get hold of.

Whether it's true, who knows.

Yeah, it's no problem to still get a hold of G40 springs. No problemo there.

monkey2004, this should be in a seperate thread really.

However, no your tyres will not scrub (assuming your offset is correct on the new wheels.)
