 Damn! You got any pics of your car? I might recognise it. We will have to meet up sometime and have a chat about all things polo.:D

As for the spraying, I get all my paint and bodywork done at a garage called Within Fields up Southawram- 01422 353 623 ask for Colin. His prices are very competitive yet the work he does is faultless. I am having my rear spoiler and GTi splitter done through him also.

As for prices, i'm unsure. He always insists on seeing the parts before giving a quote, so i'm just waiting for the bits to come before I take them up to him. He's cheap though, my JE grille he did for a tenner and it's a top notch job.

Yeah i'd be up for meeting some time. i only got my car a couple of months ago so i havn't really done many mods yet.

So far just gti grills, fog lights and alloys. Here is a pic anyways. I'm definately gettin some sideskirts when i find some i like. i was gonna wait to get my spoiler and splitter sprayed, but i might just do it as they're sat there doing nothing at the moment.

I can't really afford to do any more mods at the moment :( as i'm moving out of home to move in with my girlfriend so i need the cash (was looking at a place just round the corner from you on St. Annes road nr the post office at skircoat green).

Future mods include lowing about 3-4 cm kinda like yours, and serial port ecu remap, see first post in this forum (The place isn't that far from us, probably about 1hr 1/2).

What polo have you got is it the 75bhp or 100??

NickP, where did you get the GTI alloys from? Proper VW OEM or look-alike? How much?

Thanks :)

Mate your Polo looks sweet- love the wheels they look mint against silver. Lower it and it'll look spot on.:D

Mine is 16v trim spec so as far as i'm aware it's a 100bhp.:)

Got them from http://www.MontysWheelsAndTyres.com They deliver for free, but i went down and got mine fitted as i was going down that way.

I think they were £495 with Falken tyres (made by dunlop). They do all kinds of original VW stuff but these are BBS Wheels but not original VW RXII's. They came complete with VW centre caps tho. They are not exactly the same, they're a bit more curvy, but look very similar.

Been having a few problems with my wheels, but it is down to the tracking, i've got it booked in under warranty on thursday as its only 2 months old. The guys from Montys W&T's know what they're on about and have been really hellpful.

If you get any ask for Justin as i think they're cheaper through they're ebay shop. Do us a favour and tell him the guy with the silver polo he took a picture of reccomended them.

By the way Tom_mk5. What mods have you done apart from the obvious. Will have to come and check it out, wouldn't mind a ride some time to see what i'm missing out on, mine is only 1.4 8V and is pretty slow. :(

Hey, thanks for the info, i've just realised, this company is in Iver... which is like 5-10mins from where I live lol

They look great, but I don't have £400-500 lying around for alloys atm, needs to go elsewhere :(

I had a PS2 in the car with a Dietz 1212 adapter but too many people found out about it so I took it out because I can't be arsed with the car getting broken into for something silly like that. I rarely used it anyway. Golf flip key was fairly easy although i've got to say i'm currently having a couple of problems with the remote central. I'm sure i'll sort it out though.:)

Aye its not worth it is it, you can always put it in again if your going on a long journey or sommat. Would be nice if you could use the sat nav head to watch tele on too :) .

Would be interesed in knowing how you converted to a flip key, they look sweet. Might not be worth it for me tho cos i don't have remote central locking.

Even better, get to a scrappers and rip the remote central locking system out of a mk4 golf, then just change the switchblade on the key.:D
