Crap, if i had known about this i would't have just spend over £300 on grooved and drilled discs and pads all round!

Still they are bloody good...

Sorry to dredge up an old post, but looking to do this myself on my 6n2.

I know i need:-

G60 Disks
G60 Pads (Can i get performance pads??)

Do I need a new hose ? or does the stock one fit the G60 carriers.

And a dumb question, what is the cheapest tool i can use to tighten the hexagon bolts to 35 Nm on the caliper ?

Are there any other parts or tools I would need ?

Thanks

Here is a pictoral guide and a list of tools needed to fit 280mm discs (G60) to your Gti (albeit this was done on a Lupo gti - but exactly the same) :

im sure u can get black diamond discs and pads which i might get myself later (discount through my work  )

i have standard G60 discs at the moment but just need carriers to make them fit.

i know people have said prices for the upgrade kit but i only need the carriers, anyone know how much these are on there own??

I got the carriers new from vagparts for a little under £100 for the pair, trying to source 2nd hand ones are tricky as its a common mod on a MK2 Golf some breakers yards were charging £100 for them 2nd hand as they know how rare they are.

£30 is a good price although I think 2000 Passats have 288mm front discs, might be wrong though.
